Job summary

St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust in the North West seeks a positive Family Support Worker to help improve children’s attendance and wellbeing. You will work with schools, families and external services to remove barriers, putting the child at the centre of every plan and ensuring timely follow-up with academy staff.

The role involves travel between Trust academies and flexible working arrangements. You will contribute to outcomes for pupils at risk of persistent absence by delivering early

Qualifications

• Experience of working directly with children, young people and vulnerable families.
• Ability to identify needs, agree support plans and review progress with families and professionals.
• Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
• Willingness to travel between Trust academies and work across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Attendanc e, Behaviour and Inclusion: support schools and families to improve attendance and develop action plans.
• SEND and Inclusion: support children with identified needs and liaise with SENDCOs and health professionals.
• Outcome Monitoring and Impact Evaluation: measure progress and prepare evidence-based reports.
• Lone Working and Home Visits: conduct visits and follow risk-management protocols.
