Job summary

South Staffordshire Group is seeking a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to support experienced engineers with installing, testing and maintaining height safety systems across UK sites.

You'll gain hands-on training, follow safe systems of work, travel nationwide, and contribute to delivering high-quality, safe installations while developing practical technical skills and growing with the team.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Interest in practical, hands-on work and field-based environment.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.
• Proactive and reliable approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence working at height or willingness to develop in this area.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
• Experience in construction, engineering, maintenance, roofing or other practical trades.
• CSCS Card.
• Previous experience outdoors or in a field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with installation, testing, inspection and repair of height safety systems.
• Learn industry best practices and safe working procedures across sites in the UK.
• Support project delivery by helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times.
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop technical skills through practical on-the-job training and formal learning opportunities.
• Contribute positively to the team and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
