T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a number of Factory Labourers to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Company that invest heavily within their staff.

They offer excellent training, some fantastic benefits and a friendly working environment. The role will be starting on a day shift and moving onto a rotating shift pattern once fully trained.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving products.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive duties.
• FLT licence desirable but not essential; training provided.
• Blood test required quarterly due to product handling.

Responsibilities

• Cutting sheets of metal.
• Weighing and labeling products.
• Stacking products onto pallets manually.
• Performing machine checks.
• Quality checking products.
• Forklift operation - training provided.
• Loading scrap metal in the yard using a JCB shovel.
• Operating overhead crane.
• Working to targets and deadlines.
• Adhering to health & safety regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a number of Factory Labourers to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

The role will be starting on a day shift and moving onto a rotating shift pattern once fully trained.

Factory Labourer Job Details & Benefits;

• Rotating shifts - Monday-Thursday 6:00-15:30 & Fridays 6:00-10:00 (with Friday overtime mandatory when required) and an afternoon shift every 3rd week Monday - Thursday 1pm-10:30pm.
• Starting hourly rate of £13.50 with the opportunity to rise to £16 with training sign off.

As a Factory Labourer you could be working across a number of departments where duties vary dependant on the area, however, could include the following;

• Cutting sheets of metal
• Weighing and labelling products
• Stacking products onto pallets manually
• Performing machine checks
• Quality checking the products
• Forklift operation - training is provided
• Working outside on the yard loading scrap metal using JCB shovel
• Using overhead crane
• Working to and ensure targets/deadlines are met
• Adhere to H&S within the workplace
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

Factory Labourer Person Specification;

• No beards (due to half-face mask use)
• Blood test is required quarterly due to the nature of products handles
• Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving the product
• Happy to stand for the duration of your shift & complete repetitive duties
• A valid FLT licence is desirable however not essential as training is available if interested
