Job summary

Wynne Consulting Limited is seeking an Area Sales Engineer for the North West UK region to drive growth in factory automation and machine vision solutions. You will engage with customers, assess applications, and lead demonstrations to showcase cutting-edge imaging and identification technologies.

The role involves managing complex sales cycles, collaborating with integrators and partners, and delivering post-sales support to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in technical sales within machine vision, factory automation, industrial imaging, or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, field-based role with a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets through territory and account planning.
• Build and maintain a 12–24 month pipeline of qualified opportunities in factory automation and vision-based projects.
• Lead commercial negotiations and close deals in line with terms.
• Deliver product demonstrations across machine vision systems and factory automation technologies.
• Evaluate customer applications and recommend technical solutions.
• Provide post-sale support including basic system configuration and integration guidance.
• Collaborate with system integrators and partners to win strategic opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
• Utilise CRM tools to track activity and capture market intelligence.
• Engage with internal teams to enhance the customer journey.
• Provide feedback on market trends and emerging applications in machine vision.
