Michael Page (UK) Recruitment is seeking a Building Operations Manager in the Manchester area to coordinate day-to-day building management, tenant relations, and space utilisation across facilities. You will lead site documentation and safety processes while supporting community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proactive, organised professional with strong relationship-building skills.
• Passion for delivering excellent service.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in operational building management (min 2 years).
• Experience in financial management and budget monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Background in building, property or facilities management in real estate.
• Health & Safety training (IOSH/NEBOSH) desirable
• IWFM qualification desirable

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison for tenants, fostering positive relationships and resolving queries.
• Manage the day-to-day management of the buildings and facilities effectively.
• Coordinate tenant meetings, variation requests, and new work approvals.
• Manage room bookings and maximise space utilisation.
• Support compliance processes, health & safety, and fire risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, contact lists, and security records.
• Promote available space and facilitate site visits for prospective tenants.
• Encourage community engagement and health campaigns within sites.
