Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team of a well-established organisation based in Kettering.

This is a varied, hands-on position responsible for helping to ensure the organisation's sites are maintained in a safe, secure and efficient condition. The role covers general maintenance, facilities, site security and health and safety duties, making it an ideal opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, caretaking, site services or a similar hands-on role.
• A practical approach with basic DIY and maintenance skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible and adaptable approach.
• A positive 'can-do' attitude.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• The ability to build effective working relationships across different departments.
• The willingness to undertake training and become a qualified First Aider.
• The ability to undertake some manual handling and heavy lifting when required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general facilities, caretaking and maintenance duties
• Undertaking basic DIY, plumbing, painting and decorating
• Operating a FLT as required
• Completing toilet and facilities logs
• Opening and closing the site and maintaining site security
• Acting as a site key holder
• Responding to intruder and fire alarm call-outs
• Carrying out safety and maintenance checks on pool vehicles
• Conducting routine Health & Safety checks
• Supporting hospitality requirements when required
• Assisting with occasional heavy lifting and moving of equipment
• Working closely with colleagues across different departments to support the smooth running of the site
