Job summary

Richmond Villages is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across our village, ensuring high standards of repair and operational functionality. The role requires overseeing safety, building services, and resident-friendly maintenance practices to keep the village fully functional.

You will supervise staff, manage inductions and emergency procedures, and collaborate with the Village manager to address defects while controlling costs and maintaining a safe environment for

Qualifications

• Experience in property or maintenance repair
• Understanding of building services such as electrical distribution and plumbing
• Good IT skills and knowledge of statutory requirements

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop maintenance staff and record instructions
• Assist with inductions and safety procedures
• Advise during emergencies and respond to on-call events
• Report defects to Village manager and escalate as needed
• Maintain exterior and grounds to a safe standard with minimal resident disruption
• Check boilers for leaks and correct operation of space/water temperatures
• Ensure safety and cleanliness to current regulations and complete health & safety checks
• Follow purchasing procedures to minimise waste and costs
• Maintain workshop and plant rooms, secure tools/equipment
• Check residents’ electrical appliances for safety
