Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Environmental Cleaning Operative to maintain high standards of hygiene on hospital wards and in patient areas. The role involves daily cleaning tasks across bathrooms and sanitary areas, with attention to infection control policies and patient privacy.

You will support the Facilities Services Team, provide guidance during shifts where needed, and help ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general environmental cleaning on wards including toilets, bathrooms, showers and sluice rooms.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning of patient equipment.
• Replenish consumables such as alcohol gel dispensers, hand towels, toilet paper and soap to maintain infection control.
• Empty and manage waste bins in line with clinical and non-clinical waste regulations.
