The role includes informal leadership during shifts and acting as point of contact in the Supervisor’s absence, on a rolling 34-hour pattern that includes weekends.

The post involves routine cleaning, equipment hygiene, waste management, and upholding NHS cleanliness standards with a focus on infection control.

• Experience supporting teams on shift or in a ward environment.
• Awareness of infection control and NHS cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and provide day-to-day operational support to colleagues.
• Perform general environmental cleaning on wards and designated areas.
• Ensure waste handling and infection control policies are followed.
