Job summary

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated Building Services Manager for the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre. You will coordinate and lead the core building service team, act as the BST lead contact, and ensure smooth services to occupants across the facility.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent practical experience in coordinating building facilities, with essential health and safety knowledge. Prior line management experience is required; security checks apply.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent practical experience in coordinating building facilities.
• Experience of building and health and safety is essential; knowledge of laboratory/research facilities preferred.
• Experience managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and line management of the core building service team (Goods in, Service Technicians & Glass wash/media preparation).
• Acting as point of contact for all BST enquiries
• Coordinating organisation and effective delivery of services to building occupants.
• Procurement of goods.
• Contractor liaison & scheduling visits.
• Organising data and records and providing building wide communications.
