Job summary

Serpentine in London is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our galleries, offices and event spaces. You will help ensure spaces are safe, well-maintained and presented to the highest standard for staff, visitors and partners, combining hands-on maintenance with operational support.

The role involves shift patterns (Early/Late) across 5 days a week, 35 hours, with a 3-month probation and annual leave from 25 to 30 days; pension enrolment; and benefits

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Proactive, practical and well organized with good problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work shift patterns including early and late.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of Serpentine’s buildings.
• Maintain galleries, offices and event spaces to high standards.
• Assist with health, safety and security duties as required.
