Job summary

Amplius is seeking a part-time Facilities Officer to join the Boston office. You will manage day-to-day facility operations, coordinate maintenance, and support safety and compliance across heating, plumbing, electrical and general services.

The role is 20 hours per week, with a salary of £20,462.79 per year (FTE £37,088.80). The ideal candidate will have GCSEs A-C and experience in facilities, plus a UK driving licence for occasional travel.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent at grades A–C, plus experience in facilities, building management or property maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in facilities, building management, or property maintenance, preferably in a similar operational environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues early and implement practical solutions.
• Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle to facilitate occasional travel to other offices and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring it remains safe, functional and efficient.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs and contractor works across areas including heating, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance.
• Carry out regular Health & Safety inspections, report non-compliance and support compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Oversee security, cleaning, waste management and other building services, including access controls and emergency response arrangements.
• Support space planning and sustainability initiatives, including office layouts, resource allocation, waste reduction, energy efficiency and recycling.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, provide a professional service to staff and service users, and identify improvements to make facilities more efficient and cost effective.
