Job summary

Morgan Hunt Recruitment is seeking a Facilities Officer for a permanent role with a Charity in Surrey. The role supports the Property & Estates Manager to keep houses and facilities safe, compliant and well maintained.

Responsibilities include coordinating contractors, carrying out inspections, minor repairs, and supporting fire safety, Legionella control and COSHH requirements. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management and property maintenance.
• Experience coordinating and monitoring contractors and ensuring works are completed to standard.
• Ability to carry out inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of building maintenance programmes and safety compliance.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos awareness and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Support residents and PEM in day-to-day operation of houses and facilities.
• Carry out routine inspections of homes and grounds, identifying maintenance needs and risks.
• Carry out minor repairs, maintenance works and caretaking duties where needed.
• Coordinate access and monitor third-party contractors for works.
• Oversee repairs from reporting to completion using maintenance trackers.
• Assist with maintenance programmes and ensure compliance with schedules.
