Compass Group UK&I, operating under the 14Forty brand, is seeking a experienced Facilities Manager to lead soft services (cleaning, catering, security, reception) and oversee hard services via a third-party provider. The role ensures safe, welcoming environments for staff, clients and visitors.

Based in Whiteley, this full-time position requires strong leadership, budgets control, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple services inc. Cleaning and Security essential.
• Experience managing catering services desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of M&E services and sub-contracted management are essential.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and supplier contracts.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the soft services teams, ensuring effective delivery across cleaning, catering, security, and reception operations.
• Support the Catering Manager with the day-to-day oversight of the catering operation, ensuring high standards of food service, customer satisfaction, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee third-party management of hard services, maintaining strong operational understanding to ensure service quality and compliance.
• Manage supplier contracts and monitor KPIs/SLAs, driving continuous improvement across all service lines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health & safety, food hygiene, SIA regulations, and building maintenance standards.
• Develop and implement policies, schedules, and quality audits to maintain consistently high standards.
• Effectively manage budgets, resources, and staffing, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, responding to queries, feedback, and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
• Champion a culture of excellence, safety, and customer service across all soft and hard service functions.
