Job description

Our client, a maintenance service provider for the prison sector, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team. The role is initially temporary, with an immediate start, and has the potential to become permanent.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the daily organization of work, task allocation, tracking work progress, managing stock, and ensuring that reactive maintenance meets both operational and contractual requirements.

This Works Manager acts as the link between the workforce, including soft services, and FM management.

Job Role requirements:

1. Supervise, lead, and deliver proactive reactive maintenance services for the client.
2. Supervise and lead all team members.
3. Provide a single point of contact for team members involved in reactive services.
4. Deputize for the site manager when required.
5. Oversee the work of contractors.
6. Have a thorough understanding of reactive work scheduling and programming.
7. Ensure the team has the necessary tools, equipment, including PPE, to work safely.
8. Coordinate first-line reactive cover.
