Job description

Facilities Manager

Location: Rainham, Essex
Salary: 45,000 – 50,000 per annum (depending on experience, Monday to Friday)

The Facilities Manager role is crucial for supporting the company's growth and strategic priorities. The company's mission has always been to foster a culture of collaboration and acceleration, aiming to create a unique environment where local businesses can thrive.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the ongoing maintenance and repair of the company's facilities.
  • Ensure all facilities are compliant with current health and safety legislation.
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff, cleaners, and contractors.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Develop and support management of the facilities department's budget.
  • Planning and managing refurbishments, relocations, or changes to office layouts.
  • Developing and implementing policies and strategies for reducing energy consumption and improving sustainability within the facilities.
  • Regularly reporting on tenant activities, progress against targets, and key business metrics to the facilities team.
  • Using data–driven insights to refine strategies and ensure continuous growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience in facilities or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
