Job summary

Co‑op Group in Manchester City Centre is seeking a Facilities Management Systems Manager to lead the technology underpinning our FM operation. You’ll own the FM platforms, ensure they’re reliable, and drive continuous improvement to meet the needs of our business.

You’ll manage relationships with software providers, shape the systems roadmap, govern change, and support data quality and user adoption across facilities, property, trading, technology, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing CAFM, IWMS, or similar operational systems.
• Strong understanding of FM processes including asset management, maintenance, compliance, and supplier workflows.
• Experience translating business needs into system improvements, process changes, and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of system testing, release management, and change governance.
• Strong data management and analytical skills.
• Experience managing a team.
• Experience managing suppliers and partners across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Systems Analysts, setting clear objectives and workloads.
• Own day‑to‑day performance, governance and continuous improvement of our systems.
• Develop and maintain a prioritised systems roadmap aligned to business strategy and user needs.
• Assess, challenge and manage system change requests with proper governance and testing.
• Establish data quality standards across property, asset, supplier and compliance data.
• Lead user acceptance testing, defect management, release planning and post‑implementation reviews.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve usability, efficiency and adoption.
• Collaborate with reporting and operations teams to improve access to data and insights.
• Manage suppliers and partners, monitor performance and coordinate change activity.
• Create guidance and training materials for colleagues and partners to maximise system use.
• Oversee support processes, risk management, access controls and audit requirements.
