Job summary

Stoke on Trent City Council is recruiting a Facilities Management Operative to join the Markets, Cleaning and Facilities Management Team. You will deliver a high quality, efficient and responsive support service for nominated buildings, ensuring they are safe, secure, clean and fully operational for staff, contractors, partners, tenants, customers and visitors.

This role opens and secures buildings, covers shifts, maintains records, acts as main contact for contractors, responds to issues,

Qualifications

  • Open and secure nominated buildings, covering shifts.
  • Organise, maintain and manage files and documentation relating to nominated buildings.
  • Act as the main point of contact for contractors within the buildings.
  • Respond promptly to issues and carry out minor maintenance or escalate as needed.
  • Liaise with cleaning and events teams to ensure rooms are ready for use.
  • Monitor waste disposal and maintain a safe, secure environment.

Job description

Stoke on Trent City Council are recruiting a Facilities Management Operative to join the Markets, Cleaning and Facilities Management Team.

You will deliver a high quality, efficient and responsive support service for nominated building operations, ensuring buildings are consistently safe, secure, clean, well maintained and fully operational for staff, contractors, partners, tenants, customers and visitors., Responsible for opening and securing nominated buildings, covering both shifts and ensuring all relevant procedures are followed

  • Organise, maintain and manage files and documentation relating to nominated buildings, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and easily accessible
  • Act as the main point of contact for contractors working within the buildings, ensuring they are appropriately signed in and out and comply with site procedures
  • Respond promptly to immediate issues within nominated buildings, carrying out minor maintenance and repairs where appropriate and escalating more serious issues to the relevant team
  • Liaise effectively with cleaning and events teams to ensure rooms and facilities within nominated buildings are clean, prepared, organised and fit for use
  • Monitor and manage the appropriate disposal of general waste and recycling, ensuring environmental and organisational procedures are followed
  • Maintain a safe, secure and well organised environment across all nominated buildings
