Job summary

Stoke on Trent City Council is recruiting a Facilities Management Operative to join the Markets, Cleaning and Facilities Management Team. You will deliver a high quality, efficient and responsive support service for nominated buildings, ensuring they are safe, secure, clean and fully operational for staff, contractors, partners, tenants, customers and visitors.

This role opens and secures buildings, covers shifts, maintains records, acts as main contact for contractors, responds to issues,

Qualifications

Open and secure nominated buildings, covering shifts.
Organise, maintain and manage files and documentation relating to nominated buildings.
Act as the main point of contact for contractors within the buildings.
Respond promptly to issues and carry out minor maintenance or escalate as needed.
Liaise with cleaning and events teams to ensure rooms are ready for use.
Monitor waste disposal and maintain a safe, secure environment.

Responsibilities

Open and secure nominated buildings, covering shifts and ensuring procedures are followed.
Organise, maintain and manage files and documentation relating to nominated buildings.
Act as the main point of contact for contractors working within the buildings.
Respond promptly to issues and carry out minor maintenance, escalating more serious issues as needed.
Liaise with cleaning and events teams to keep rooms and facilities clean and fit for use.
Monitor and manage disposal of general waste and recycling in line with procedures.
