Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to perform cleansing duties across libraries, offices, museums and communal areas in the City. The role is 15 hours per week with shifts between 5pm and 8pm at Stoke Town Hall.

Location of work may vary weekly to provide cover where needed; appropriate training will be given. Internal and external applicants are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Clean libraries, offices, museums, Sheltered Housing Schemes and communal areas across the City.
  • Clean washrooms, kitchens, reception areas, office areas, meeting rooms, stairwells and lifts to a given standard.
  • Lock/unlock buildings as required and be available to work 06:00–20:00.

This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.

The role involves cleaning Libraries, Offices, Museums, Sheltered Housing Schemes and Communal areas within flats across the City. You will be responsible for the cleaning of washrooms, kitchens, reception areas, office areas, meeting rooms, stairwells and lifts within the building to a given standard.

You may be asked to unlock or lock these buildings as part of this role and would need to be available to work between the hours of 06:00 to 20:00.

Your location of work would be provided on a weekly basis and could be subject to change to provide cover where needed.

Appropriate training would be given to the successful candidate.
