Job summary

IKEA Milton Keynes is seeking a Unit Facility Management Specialist to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the store environment. You will coordinate tasks, manage budgets and oversee hard FM services, sustainability initiatives, and performance reporting.

The role demands strong leadership, analytical mindset and experience with CAFM systems, RAMS and supplier management. A full-time, 39-hour week with occasional weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge to plan, organise, and manage costs for a given area.
• Understand FM scope, delivery model and business processes including work-order/contract and supplier management; experience in hard FM services (heating, cooling, electrics, plumbing).
• Sustainability in FM: energy, water, waste, and climate-positive operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage FM services to ensure safety, compliance, maintenance and improvements.
• Coordinate tasks with internal teams and external FM suppliers/service providers and report to Unit FM Manager.
• Support tendering processes and contribute to budgeting and business planning.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with third parties, and provide technical support for FM operations and projects.
• Coordinate internal FM checks and audits and inspections within the FM scope.
• Inspect FM services and administer CAFM tools and spot checks.
• Produce relevant FM reports and assist in tendering for new service providers.
• Contribute to goal-setting and annual FM budget planning.
