Job summary

Sodexo, Prestwick, is seeking a Maintenance Assist to support the site's facilities operations. You will perform hands-on maintenance and assist with planned and reactive tasks to keep M&E plant running smoothly.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance and working with subcontractors; approximately 50% hands-on work, with opportunities to contribute to energy-saving initiatives and process improvements. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years in building services, strong fault-finding skills,

Qualifications

• Ideally, minimum of 5 years' experience within building services and plant engineering.
• Strong practical, hands-on maintenance and engineering experience.
• Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in commercial/industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe operation, maintenance and repair of M&E building services, plant and fabric equipment across the site.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance; approximately 50% hands-on work.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team and coordinate with subcontractors to complete PPM on time.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with risk assessments, safe systems of work and permit to work procedures.
