Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support on a client site in the UK. The role focuses on planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, with responsibility for statutory and mandatory compliance and minor works as required.

You will work safely to engineering standards, diagnose issues, manage your workload, and keep accurate records using CMMS and IT tools. Strong communication with customers and internal teams is essential in this technical maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years' mechanical maintenance experience required.
• Strong understanding of engineering compliance and standards.
• Experience working independently in a technical maintenance environment.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness and safe systems of work.
• Proficient in CMMS and IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Support statutory, legislative and mandatory maintenance requirements.
• Complete minor mechanical works as directed.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical maintenance issues using a systematic approach.
• Work independently while managing and prioritising your workload to meet deadlines.
• Follow safe systems of work, health and safety procedures and engineering standards.
• Respond to helpdesk requests and complete work within required timescales.
• Maintain accurate records using relevant IT and maintenance management systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and the wider maintenance team.
