Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a client site in the UK. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with statutory and safety standards while delivering high-quality service.

You will diagnose issues, perform minor works, and maintain accurate CMMS records, working full-time 40 hours/week. The ideal candidate has ~2 years in maintenance and NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Around 2 years' relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Support statutory, legislative and mandatory maintenance requirements.
• Complete minor mechanical works as directed.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues using a systematic approach.
• Work independently and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Follow safe systems of work and engineering standards.
• Respond to helpdesk requests and complete tasks within timescales.
• Maintain records using CMMS and other IT systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers and maintenance team.
