Job summary

Moog invites applications for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the Tewkesbury site. The role is onsite with 24/5 shift coverage, including nights, and requires delivering planned preventative maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and ensuring safe, reliable operations.

You will carry out inspections, readings and routine checks, respond to breakdowns, support energy and waste initiatives, and maintain logs for audits.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance technician in industrial or commercial environments.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with PPM procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work shifts (24/5, including nights).
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in building trades/electrical/plumbing (desirable).
• Certifications such as Legionella (L8), F-Gas, PAT, 18th Edition (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support the PPM programme for building systems (HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, lighting).
• Carry out visual inspections, meter readings, sampling and routine checks to support compliance and safety.
• Respond to facility breakdowns and emergencies promptly to minimise downtime.
• Support energy, water and waste efficiency initiatives to reduce operating costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs and reports to support audits (ISO/HSE).
• Assist with facility improvement projects, layout changes and installations.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Engineering and external contractors to minimise disruption.

Join our dedicated Facilities team at Moog’s Tewkesbury site and help keep our operations safe, efficient, and running smoothly. Please note this role requires a willingness to work shifts covering our 24/5 operation, including potential nights. You’ll deliver planned preventative maintenance, carry out essential checks, and respond quickly to keep disruption to a minimum.

Who we’re looking for
Essential

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in industrial or commercial environments.

• Good knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques and strong fault-finding skills.

• Familiarity with PPM procedures and safe working practices.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Able to work independently, manage workload and prioritise under pressure.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Willingness to work shifts (24/5 support), including potential nights/weekends and emergency call-outs.

Desirable

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in building trades, plumbing or electrical.

• Certifications such as Legionella (L8), F-Gas, PAT testing, 18th Edition, HVAC or similar.

• Health & Safety training and experience working at heights/confined spaces.

• Working environment & special considerations

• The role supports a 24/5 manufacturing operation; shift work and on-call availability may be required.

• You will work around high-voltage systems, heavy plant and hazardous materials and must always follow safety procedures.

• The job requires excellent cross-functional communication with operators, team leaders and production managers.
