Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a capable Maintenance Officer to join the Estates team at Loughborough College. You will support a proactive maintenance service covering planned and reactive work, ensuring compliance and safety across campus facilities.

The role requires a flexible, rotational shift pattern of 37.5 hours over five days, with early and late shifts and occasional weekend coverage for events.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a maintenance or construction trade.
• Experience of working to key performance targets.
• Ability to work independently using initiative or as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with staff at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine compliance checks including legionella monitoring, emergency lighting tests, fire alarm testing, and portable appliance testing.
• Support the opening and securing of college buildings and respond to security call-outs.
• Deliver reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring work meets KPIs and SLAs.
• Provide rapid response to emergencies, liaising with emergency services when required.
• Drive and maintain college vehicles, support traffic and parking management.
