Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer to join the Estates team at Loughborough College. You will support a proactive maintenance service delivering both planned and reactive work while meeting KPIs and SLAs.

The role requires flexibility to work a rotational shift pattern, with 37.5 hours per week, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, maintaining positive relationships with staff at all levels.

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification in a relevant trade.
• Extensive maintenance/construction trade experience.
• Experience delivering maintenance to KPIs and SLAs.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good relationships with staff at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine compliance checks including legionella monitoring, emergency lighting tests, fire alarm testing, and portable appliance testing
• Support the opening and securing of college buildings and respond to security call-outs
• Deliver reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring work meets KPIs and SLAs
• Provide rapid response to emergencies, liaising with emergency services when required
• Drive and maintain college vehicles, support traffic and parking management
• The ability to work independently using initiative or as part of a team with clear instruction
• The ability to maintain good relationships with staff at a range of levels by behaving with integrity, treating people with respect and leading by example
