Job summary

GLL is seeking a Facilities Assistant for Dudley Archives. This 36-hour-per-week role covers the Dudley borough, focusing on maintenance, repair and safety of our buildings to a high standard. You will work both in a team and independently, with a strong eye for detail and knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure staff and visitors’ safety and convenience.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or construction industry.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Good communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and ensure safety of buildings to high standards.
• Work as part of a team and also independently with attention to detail.
• Implement repairs with minimal disruption and provide occasional cover for the library van service.
