Job summary

SSE plc in the United Kingdom seeks a Facilities, Fleet, Compliance & Logistics Manager to support operational delivery across the SSEN Distribution network. The role ensures depots, fleet, logistics and compliance are managed safely and efficiently for employees and contractors.

You will lead a team, manage regional sites, and drive cost-effective logistics while maintaining high service standards for customers. A driving licence is essential and a company car scheme may apply.

Qualifications

• Management experience in leading a small team to deliver great outcomes for internal customers.
• Some understanding of commercial fleet, logistics, facilities management and compliance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and build relationships to achieve business outcomes.
• Ability to use data to analyse performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to use IT effectively, including knowledge of core Microsoft IT software.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency events, including severe weather incidents, as required by the needs of the SSEN business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regional depots and remote sites are operated safely, securely and effectively.
• Lead and develop a team of Resource Controllers and stores staff, delivering safe and high‑quality service.
• Oversee fleet, compliance and training activities to provide excellent service across the region.
• Deliver cost‑effective, timely and fit‑for‑purpose logistics solutions for projects.
• Drive productivity by setting performance expectations and fostering continuous improvement.
• Support the wider Performance & Improvement team to deliver a safe, reliable service.
