Job Description

We are looking for a practical and proactive Facilities coordinator to help keep our Ellesmere Port site running smoothly and safely. You will organise and oversee day-to-day maintenance, ensure health and safety standards are met, and manage on-site contractors.

What You’ll Do

  • Make sure all building services (like water, gas, heating) work safely and efficiently
  • Respond to issues around site – from small fixes to arranging professional help
  • Organise and supervise contractors for repairs and minor works
  • Help improve the site with general upkeep and housekeeping projects
  • Keep clear records of any work carried out
  • Identify and report health & safety risks and help fix them
  • Make sure all work follows SGS’s safety, equality, and integrity standards
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of general building maintenance and services
  • Hands-on experience with building maintenance
  • Good communication skills
  • Driving License

Desirable:

  • FLT License
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
  • Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, and joinery
  • Experience supervising contractors or working in a lab environment
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, BTEC) – or equivalent experience
