Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to join the support team. This office-based role provides essential administrative and coordination support to keep care homes safe, compliant, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and staff.

You will work with the facilities and care home teams to coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, manage contractor communications, and maintain compliance records.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration within facilities, property, or maintenance environments is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across multiple care homes.
• Liaise with contractors to arrange visits, obtain quotations, and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation on facilities systems.
• Update facilities management systems and ensure records are current.
• Respond to enquiries from care homes and provide timely support.
• Assist with reporting, audits, and departmental projects.
• Communicate maintenance issues clearly and ensure timely resolutions.
