Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a hands-on Facilities Cleaning Supervisor to manage two contracts on-site in Preston. You will support HR, recruitment, and client relations while covering cleaning duties during peak times or absences.

You will lead a team, ensure service quality and compliance with health and safety standards. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will oversee daily operations, allocate tasks, monitor budgets, and drive staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience managing cleaning contracts and leading front-line teams.
• Strong recruitment and induction training abilities.
• Customer-focused and compliant with health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistent level of service within the contract specifications and performance levels.
• Be involved in recruitment, induction training, and staff development.
• Ensure the cleaning team has appropriate support and guidance.
• Cover cleaning roles during holidays or staff shortages as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day management of the cleaning service under contract terms.
• Allocate work, monitor budget and adhere to company principles.
• Respond to requests 24/7 via company phone.
• Comply with health & safety, COSHH, hygiene and fire regulations.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and uniform standards.
• Control stock and safe storage of cleaning materials.
• Carry out weekly cleaning audits with the Account Manager.
• Check equipment condition and report faults to the business manager.
• Provide courteous, efficient service to customers and clients.
