Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a supervisory officer to oversee the upkeep of its premises. The role involves managing cleaning and caretaking staff and contractors, ensuring buildings are opened and closed on time, and maintaining safety and security across sites.

Shifts run from late morning into the evening with weekend overtime and on-call standby every fourth weekend. A valid driving licence is required and the post-holder should live within twenty minutes of the site for emergency

Responsibilities

• Open and close buildings on time.
• Keep premises secure and monitor alarms.
• Undertake routine maintenance tasks.
• Supervise cleaning and caretaking staff and contractors.
• Carry out site inspections and porterage.
• Manage recycling and cleaning activities.
• Check emails and process paperwork.
• Order stock and support training activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers and wider team.
