Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Mobile Site Supervisor to join the Stockton and Wellesbourne Recycling Centres on a full-time basis. You will lead a team to deliver excellent customer service as the public visits the centres to recycle and dispose of items.

You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance and efficient site operation, including machinery oversight, with flexibility to cover other sites as required and on a 7-day rota.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with members of the public.
• Interest in waste minimisation and recycling.
• Able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Able to work outdoors in all weathers and perform physical, manual work.
• Capable of operating machinery and handling equipment.
• Flexible in approach and willing to work on a shift basis.

Responsabilités

• Supervise a team at the Household Waste Recycling Centre to deliver safe, efficient customer service.
• Ensure the site meets Duty of Care and legislative requirements and provide containers for safe recycling/disposal.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of plant machinery on site.
• Cover for other sites as needed when Stockton and Wellesbourne are closed.

Warwickshire County Council are seeking a full time Mobile Site Supervisor to join the team at Stockton and Wellesbourne Recycling Centres

Rate of pay: Up to £16.61 per hour. Pay enhancements are available on certain shifts

Hours of work: Full time on a 7-day rota

The Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will supervise a team of staff who will provide excellent customer service to members of the public bringing their items to the recycling centre. You will motivate the team to ensure that the HWRC (Household Waste Recycling Centre) is run in a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant manner.

You will be responsible for ensuring the site meets all Duty of Care and other legislative requirements and that there is adequate provision of containers to allow the public to safely recycle and dispose of their items.

The Site Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring plant machinery is appropriately operated and maintained. You will also be expected to work on other sites when Stockton and Wellesbourne are closed and cover for Site Supervisors on other sites as necessary.

Key Requirements

To be successful you will have experience of working with members of the public and have a real interest in waste minimisation and recycling. Working at a Recycling Centre you will have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You will be used to working outdoors in all weathers as well as being capable of physical, manual work and operating machinery. In addition, it is important that you are flexible in your approach and happy to work on a shift basis
