National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty is seeking a Facilities Assistant at Sheffield Park to help keep the site in good condition and running smoothly for visitors. This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love. We're looking for a Facilities Assistant at Sheffield Park to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.
This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
Contract: Fixed Term ending end of January 2027

There is water everywhere - a series of interlinked man-made lakes display mesmerizing reflections of the trees and shrubs around the park. Explore over 100 acres of traditional landscape gardens originally laid out by Capability Brown and Humphry Repton in the 18th Century.
You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors. form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
