Job summary

National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty is seeking a Facilities Assistant at Sheffield Park to help keep the site in good condition and running smoothly for visitors. The role involves cleaning, minor maintenance and helping with deliveries, with a focus on high standards of customer service.

It is a flexible, zero-hours contract (fixed term to end of January 2027) with weekend and bank holiday presence; full online assessment required in place of a CV.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, inside and outside.
• Help with day-to-day presentation of National Trust buildings and outdoor spaces.
• Carry out minor maintenance and help unload deliveries.
• Speak to visitors and help with queries, delivering high standards of customer service.
• Assist other teams when extra support is needed.
