The Property department has responsibility for all real estate, facilities assets, services and resources to enable the core NSPCC services and other supporting departments to function as productively as possible within the workplace.
The Property Department manages all aspects of the NSPCC's properties, ensuring offices have high standards of facilities, are properly maintained, and comply with legal requirements. They also manage building or refurbishment projects and constantly review the property portfolio to ensure the best possible working conditions are provided. This post is responsible for supporting the Facilities Team on Reception, in the Post Room, and with other Facilities-related services.
Job purpose
Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service.
Ensure an excellent customer service experience for all enquiries at Weston House.
Assist the Senior Facilities Assistant with the day-to-day running of the post room, including reprographic services, opening post, organizing couriers and taxis, and liaising with staff, volunteers, and tenants.
Support the Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Assistant with administrative tasks such as health and safety and ad-hoc projects.
Key relationships - Internal
The post holder will report to the Senior Facilities Assistant and liaise with Receptionists, Postal Services Coordinators, Assistant Building Officer, Health and Safety Manager, other members of the Property Department, and colleagues utilizing Weston House and the post room services.
External relationships
Communicate with visitors, external contractors, postal suppliers, couriers, vehicle providers, and printing suppliers.

Additional duties include administrative support, assisting with fire evacuations, health and safety issues, and process improvements.

Participation in meetings and proactive performance improvements.
Maintaining awareness of health and safety policies and NSPCC news and updates.

Clear and effective communication skills.
Ability to handle distressed or angry visitors professionally.

Basic drafting skills in letters, emails, and spreadsheets.
Effective prioritization and organization skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
