Job description

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Waste Operative.

To provide an efficient and effective support service in respect of waste management duties, providing an excellent service at all times to the relevant stakeholders on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the various daily, weekly, periodic, and cleaning duties in Stores, CFB and public areas as required under the contract service level agreement and follow the cleaning schedule as directed by your line manager.
• Ensure you are aware of & comply with all client & company health & safety procedures and standards at all times e.g. Food Handling, COSHH, uniforms & PPE, Manual handling, Fire procedures, Quality control. Ensuring all correct PPE is worn at all times.
• Complete, maintain and update all Health & Safety paperwork correctly when required.
• Maintain the cleanliness of working areas ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity, this also includes vehicles.
• Ensure the correct storage, control and use of all machinery and equipment, cleaning materials and relevant chemicals.
• Undertake mandatory training as detailed in the training matrix, ensuring all training is recorded on your training record card and to complete all on-line training.
• Be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line Manager including if necessary, working within other units within reasonable distance.
• Learn and demonstrate the ESS Way behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers & clients.
• Complete regular day to day activities as required for the smooth operation of your department / site as instructed by your line manager.

• Able to speak & understand English.

• Be positive and proud of doing a great job.
• Share knowledge and experience with other team members.
• Full Driving Licence Required.
