Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their facade specialist team in the UK. You will price a variety of rainscreen cladding and refurbishment projects, review drawings and specs, and drive tenders from enquiry through to handover.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of rainscreen systems, commercial acumen, and excellent negotiation and communication skills. A full UK driving licence is essential, with a strong pipeline of commercial/public sector work.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience within facades or rainscreen cladding.
• Experience pricing refurbishment and overcladding projects.
• Good technical knowledge of rainscreen and ventilated cladding systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and survey information.
• Strong commercial awareness and Excel/estimating software skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with fire remediation or public-sector frameworks advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and competitive tenders for rainscreen cladding and facade refurbishment.
• Review drawings, specifications, surveys and scope to build detailed project costs.
• Pricing systems including ventilated cladding, overcladding, curtain walling, composite panels and proprietary facade systems.
• Carrying out pre-tender site surveys and assessing existing facade conditions.
• Obtaining competitive pricing from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identifying commercial risks, buildability issues and value-engineering opportunities.
• Supporting projects through procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Working closely with the wider commercial and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover from tender to delivery.
