Job summary

Thatcher Associates is seeking a Facade Project Manager to lead facade and building envelope packages on projects primarily in Guernsey. The role requires living and working on the island, with relocation support available for eligible candidates.

You will coordinate rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, and related envelope systems while managing design development through to completion across commercial, residential and public sector schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering facade/building envelope packages on commercial, residential or public sector schemes.
• CSCS card and up-to-date health and safety training.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating facade subcontractors and interfaces with design teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of facade packages from design development through to completion, including rainscreen and curtain walling.
• Coordinate specialist facade subcontractors to meet programme, quality and commercial targets.
• Liaise with design teams, consultants and site management to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor health and safety compliance on facade works.
• Report progress, risks and programme to senior management.
• Support procurement and value engineering discussions relating to building envelope.

Facade Project Manager - Guernsey

Although this role is advertised in London, this role requires the successful candidate to live and work on the island of Guernsey.

We are working on behalf of an established main contractor with a strong and varied portfolio across Jersey and Guernsey, spanning education, hotel and leisure, residential, commercial and healthcare projects. As part of continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Facade Project Manager to take ownership of facade packages across a range of live schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of facade packages from design development through to completion, including rainscreen cladding, curtain walling and associated envelope systems
• Coordinate specialist facade subcontractors, ensuring programme, quality and commercial targets are met
• Liaise closely with design teams, consultants and site management to resolve technical and interface issues
• Monitor health and safety compliance across facade works
• Report on progress, risk and programme to senior management
• Support procurement and value engineering discussions relating to the building envelope

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience managing facade or building envelope packages on commercial, residential or public sector projects
• Strong technical understanding of facade systems and interfaces with structure and services
• Relevant construction management qualification (e.g. HNC/HND, degree in construction management or equivalent)
• CSCS card and up-to-date health and safety training
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working within a close-knit island construction market
