PROJECT MANAGER - FACADES

Permanent South East London Competitive Salary Package

IMPORTANT: This is a specialist façade Project Manager position. Candidates without a proven, specialist façade background will NOT be considered.

Are you a Project Manager who has built your career within the façade and building envelope sector?

We are working with a leading specialist façade contractor, who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced façade professional to take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working across high-profile projects in London and the South East.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of façade projects, managing the programme, commercial performance, procurement, design coordination, client relationships and site delivery.

You will work closely with the commercial, design and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of façade projects from inception through to completion.
• Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
• Leading the pre-construction, mobilisation and delivery phases.
• Coordinating design development, technical submissions and approvals.
• Managing procurement of materials, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Working closely with Site Managers and Contracts Managers to ensure effective site delivery.
• Managing project resources, labour and supply chain requirements.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, main contractors, consultants and design teams.
• Attending client, design, progress and commercial meetings.
• Monitoring project progress against programme and identifying potential delays or risks.
• Managing variations, change control and commercial issues.
• Reviewing project costs and supporting the commercial team to maximise project performance.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed programmes.
• Managing project risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Overseeing quality, compliance, snagging and final project handover
• Producing regular progress reports and updates for senior management.
• Driving successful project completion while maintaining strong client relationships.

Essential Experience

• Proven Project Management experience within the façade / building envelope sector.
• Strong specialist knowledge of façade systems.
• Experience delivering projects involving curtain walling, cladding, windows, doors and/or associated façade systems.
• Experience working for a façade contractor or specialist façade subcontractor.
• Strong understanding of project programmes, procurement, commercial management and project delivery.
• Experience managing clients, main contractors, consultants and supply chains.
• Strong technical understanding of façade construction and installation.

THIS IS NOT A GENERAL CONSTRUCTION PM ROLE

We are specifically looking for an out-and-out façade specialist.

Candidates who have primarily worked across general construction, fit-out, civils or other sectors without substantial specialist façade experience will not be considered.

Your CV must demonstrate a genuine track record of managing façade / building envelope projects.
