Job summary

Winsearch is seeking a talented Facade Designer to join its Kent-based team. You will specialise in cladding, glazing and building envelope systems on diverse façade, roofing, remediation, and new-build projects across the UK.

The role requires experience in producing detailed shop drawings, junction details and setting-out information, with strong CAD/BIM skills (AutoCAD and Revit). Knowledge of UK building regulations and fire remediation is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in façade design across cladding, building envelope, remediation, or new-build projects.
• Ability to produce detailed shop drawings and technical design information.
• Knowledge of cladding systems, glazing, SFS, fixing methods, and interface detailing.
• Competent with CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Understanding of UK building regulations and fire remediation considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed façade design solutions for cladding, glazing, and building envelope systems.
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, elevations, sections, junction details, and setting-out information.
• Review architectural, structural, and project information to identify technical requirements and interfaces.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, installers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design coordination issues.
• Support technical submittals, design approvals, RFIs, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, fire safety requirements, project specifications, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
