Job summary

Fetch Recruit is seeking an experienced Facade Designer to join our client’s team in Hertfordshire. The role focuses on producing precise drawings and elevations for rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, and specialist facade packages on-site in the UK.

You will collaborate from tender through construction with project managers, structural engineers, architects, and site teams, ensuring designs meet health and safety and regulatory requirements while keeping cost and practicality in mind.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in facade design or manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or BIM).
• Knowledge of cladding types and building materials.

Our client, who are a rapidly growing Facade contractor, are currently seeking an experienced facades designer to join their team in Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Detailing: Produce precise technical drawings, fabrication details, and elevations for rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, and specialised facade packages.

• Technical Solutions: Develop cost-effective, practical solutions for complex architectural interfaces and subframe systems.

• Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, architects, and site teams from early tender stages through construction delivery.

• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs align with health, safety, and industry regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in facade design or manufacturing.

• Strong proficiency in industry-standard computer-aided design software (such as AutoCAD or BIM tools).

• Sound knowledge of cladding types, modern building materials, and practical site assembly.
