ProBuild Recruitment is supporting a main contractor delivering façade and cladding remediation projects in Manchester. The Design Manager will own the design process across allocated projects, balancing technical requirements, buildability, programme and commercial considerations.

Building safety is central to the role, supporting Gateway processes and maintaining Golden Thread information. The job offers involvement from pre-construction through to completion with strong collaboration across

Qualifications

• Experience managing consultants and façade/cladding projects.
• Strong knowledge of Gateway submissions and Golden Thread information management.
• Understanding of Building Safety Act and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate consultants and façade subcontractors with clear scopes.
• Chair design meetings and drive issues through to resolution.
• Manage design programmes and release of coordinated information.
• Review façade solutions for fire safety, structural integrity and buildability.
• Support regulatory submissions and maintain Golden Thread information.
• Document design changes with auditable decisions.
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to manage risk and value engineering.
• Coordinate verified as-built information for handover.
