Job summary

CCL Facades, part of the Caddick Group, seeks an experienced Design Manager to oversee the design process from pre-construction through delivery. You will coordinate internal and external teams, review specifications, and ensure designs are compliant, viable, and buildable to programme.

This role is based at our Wakefield office. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and driving value through

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role in construction, preferably façades or cladding.
• Strong knowledge of construction design coordination and façade systems.
• Good understanding of Building Regulations and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from order placement to project completion and ensure timely approvals.
• Coordinate internal and external design teams, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review drawings and specifications, identify clashes, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure façade designs meet Building Regulations, standards and safety requirements.
• Support pre-construction and value engineering while balancing design with cost and programme.
• Coordinate technical submissions, RFIs, and design changes across project delivery.
• Collaborate with project and commercial teams to ensure designs are buildable and deliver project goals.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication throughout the design process.
