Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to develop their career within a specialist facades and recladding contractor. The role spans pre-construction estimates through final accounts, with exposure to valuations, procurement and commercial reporting on projects across London and the southern Home Counties.

Qualifications

Experience in construction commercial management.
Experience with estimates, budgets and cash-flows.
Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
Ability to review contracts and negotiate terms.
Experience with cost reporting and CVRs.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimates, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections for allocated projects.
Manage valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts.
Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
Review and negotiate contracts to protect the company’s position.
Prepare CVRs, cost-value reconciliations and commercial reports for senior management.
Maintain commercial correspondence and address delays, claims and EOT as required.
Collaborate with project and design teams on programmes, labour and material requirements.
