Job summary

Pertemps Stoke is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder for a full-time role in Stoke-on-Trent. You will perform precision welding and fabrication to ASME IX standards, reading complex drawings and handling stainless steel, carbon steel and exotic alloys.

You will inspect and repair pressure vessels, pipework and structural components, liaise with engineers and inspectors to meet deadlines, and ensure projects stay on track. ASME IX coding and petrochemical experience are essential.

Qualifications

• ASME IX coded welder certification required.
• Experience in petrochemical/oil & gas or heavy industry desirable.
• Strong fabrication skills: cutting, bending, and assembling components.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding procedures.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, NDT techniques, and regulations.

This full-time Fabricator Welder position in Stoke-on-Trent offers £16 per hour through Pertemps Stoke. The successful candidate will undertake precision welding and fabrication to ASME IX standards, working from WPS documentation. Duties include interpreting complex engineering drawings, handling stainless steel, carbon steel and exotic alloys, plus inspecting and repairing pressure vessels, pipework and structural components. Requirements and skills required for this Fabricator Welder role:

• ASME IX Coded Welder certification (TIG/MIG/MMA).
• Proven experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors is desirable.
• Strong fabrication skills, including cutting, bending, and assembling components.
• Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, NDT techniques, and industry regulations.

• Hourly rate: £16ph
• Hours of work – Monday to Friday, Day Shift
• Location: Stoke-on-Trent Training and certification support.
