Job summary

Pertemps Stoke is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder for a full-time role in Stoke-on-Trent. You will perform precision welding and fabrication to ASME IX standards, reading complex drawings and handling stainless steel, carbon steel and exotic alloys.

You will inspect and repair pressure vessels, pipework and structural components, liaise with engineers and inspectors to meet deadlines, and ensure projects stay on track. ASME IX coding and petrochemical experience are essential.

Qualifications

ASME IX coded welder certification required.
Experience in petrochemical/oil & gas or heavy industry desirable.
Strong fabrication skills: cutting, bending, and assembling components.
Ability to read technical drawings and welding procedures.
Knowledge of welding procedures, NDT techniques, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Carry out precision welding and fabrication to ASME IX standards.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and welding procedures.
Liaise with engineers, inspectors, and project teams to meet deadlines.
Conduct inspections and repairs on pressure vessels, pipework, and structural components.
Work with materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, and exotic alloys.
