Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder (MIG) for a full-time, permanent role based in Kingswinford. The position offers £14.00–£17.00 per hour, depending on experience, with Monday to Friday 7:00am–3:00pm and no weekend work.

You will perform MIG welding and general fabrication, read engineering drawings, and work with mild steel in an established manufacturing environment in the Dudley area.

Fabricator Welder / MIG Welder

Based in Kingswinford, this Fabricator Welder position offers a full-time, permanent contract with a salary between £14 and £17 per hour, dependent on experience.

Working Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, the role suits a skilled individual proficient in MIG welding and general fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and general fabrication
• Fabricating and assembling steel components
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Cutting, grinding, drilling and preparing materials
• Measuring and marking out accurately
• Welding a range of steel thicknesses
• Carrying out quality checks on finished products
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to specification
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a fabrication and welding environment
• Strong MIG welding experience
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience working with mild steel
• Good measuring and marking-out skills
• Strong attention to detail
• A good understanding of fabrication processes
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience working with pressure vessels, tanks or similar fabricated products would be highly beneficial, but is not essential.
