Job summary

Totally Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Fabricator Welder who can fabricate and MIG-weld heavy-duty equipment to a consistently high standard. You will MIG-weld heavy steel up to 20mm, read detailed drawings, and work with the production team to deliver safe, high‑quality components.

This full-time role offers Monday–Friday hours, a pay rate of £14.00–£16.00 per hour with overtime at enhanced rates, and a strong, professional working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Fabricator Welder.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with commercial vehicles.
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience working with heavy steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Role

As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and MIG welding heavy-duty equipment to a consistently high standard.

Your duties will include:

• MIG welding heavy steel up to 20mm gauge
• Working with 1.2mm welding wire on large and heavy equipment
• Fabricating components and assemblies to specification
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Working accurately to set specifications and quality standards
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Working as part of a skilled production team

Experience with the following would also be advantageous:

• Plasma cutting
• Oxy-acetylene cutting
• Manual press brake operations
• Heavy commercial vehicle fabrication

Experience Required

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Fabricator Welder
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with commercial vehicles
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience working with heavy steel fabrication
